Steve Hamrick likes to paint what he sees and the way he sees it. The landscapes of places he has traveled and hunted, as well as animals that he has seen and experienced, are the images that flow freely from his brush.
The View From Home
After graduating, Hamrick says, "I felt something was missing but wasn`t really sure what it was. I took my name off the waiting list at the University of Minnesota Law School and decided against medical school." He went on to sell real estate until he realized he was at a crossroad in his life.
Hamrick explains, "You only get one crack at life so you might as well do something you love." Thus, in 1981, he moved from painting only on weekends, to a full-time commitment to his art.
The Artist lives in the Minnesota town of Lakeville, with his wife Kim, their two children Nicole and Adam(his only masterpieces), and their yellow lab Gracie.
